Where it is used
Features
The machine accepts any single-phase supply from 90 to 270 VAC, so it works on domestic 230 V, on a 120 V supply, and on generator power of varying quality. For a contractor moving between sites with unknown power, this removes the main reason a welder gets left in the van.
The smart-MIG feature dynamically monitors arc characteristics and adapts to the operator’s technique for a smooth, stable arc. Set wire diameter, material and plate thickness and the machine is ready to weld, which shortens setup and narrows the gap between an experienced and an inexperienced welder.
Full MMA performance with stick electrodes up to 4 mm, and Lift TIG with adjustable pre- and post-gas flow and weld current ramp up and down. TIG output reaches 235 A at 19.4 V on a 40% duty cycle at 230 V.
The TFT panel is multilingual and incorporates spare parts lists and weld parameter guides for every process, so settings and consumable part numbers can be looked up on the machine rather than in a manual that is back at the workshop.
At 28.6 kg with a four-handle roll cage, it is among the most mobile machines in its class, and it is rated IP23S. The optional 2-wheel trolley (0700300872) is available where it has to be moved frequently around a shop.
Two gas inlets, one for MIG and one for TIG, can be connected at the same time, and a built-in TIG gas solenoid valve on the front of the machine eliminates the need for a manual valve on the TIG torch.

Choose the 235ic when you only have single-phase power or portability is the priority — 28.6 kg, 250 A, wire to 1.0 mm solid. Choose the 320ic when you have 400 V three-phase and need more output and heavier wire — 350 A, 1.4 mm solid, 1.6 mm flux-cored, and 5 mm stick electrodes.
Its input accepts 90–270 VAC single phase, which covers generator supplies of varying quality. Confirm the generator’s rated output against the machine’s draw for your intended welding current before specifying one.
