The ESAB Warrior 500i CC/CV is a rugged 500 A multi-process welding power source for MIG/MAG, flux-cored, MMA (stick) and TIG welding, delivering 500 A at 39 V on a 60% duty cycle and 400 A at 100% duty cycle from a 380–415 V three-phase supply, built for heavy-duty indoor and outdoor fabrication.

Features
The Warrior is built for indoor and outdoor use in rough environments, rated IP23 with an operating temperature range of −10 °C to +40 °C. Paired with the RobustFeed PRO and its weatherproof enclosed design, it is the configuration ESAB specifies where portability and durability are the deciding factors.
The 500i delivers 500 A at 39 V on a 60% duty cycle and 400 A at 34 V continuously at 100%. That continuous rating is what matters on long structural welds, where a machine that thermally cuts out costs more in lost arc time than it saves in purchase price.
The user interface is deliberately plain, with glove-friendly knobs that make adjustments quick without removing gloves. There is no menu system to learn, which matters where the machine is shared across a crew and across shifts.
The PreciDrive wire drive system maintains precision feeding to promote consistent weld quality, and the powerful drive holds the same level of control with large-diameter wires used for hardfacing and other demanding applications.
The 2021 Red Dot award-winning RobustFeed design brings best-in-class enclosure protection from moisture and dust to keep the wire spool safe, an integrated heater and flow meter, and considered ergonomics. The Offshore variant (0445800883) adds a gas flow meter and heater as standard.
Open circuit voltage is 56 VDC, reduced to 28 VDC with VRD activated for work in environments with increased electrical hazard. Energy save mode draws 30 W, and efficiency at maximum MIG/MAG current is 90% with a 0.91 power factor.

In MIG/MAG the Warrior 500i delivers 500 A at 39 V on a 60% duty cycle and 400 A at 34 V continuously at 100% duty cycle. In MMA it is 500 A / 40 V at 60% and 400 A / 36 V at 100%.
Output. The 400i gives 400 A at 60% duty cycle and 300 A at 100%, with a 25 A slow fuse. The 500i gives 500 A at 60% and 400 A at 100%, with a 32 A slow fuse. Everything else — dimensions, 59 kg weight, IP23 rating and accessory range — is shared.
The Warrior 500i CC/CV is the straightforward rugged machine: constant current and constant voltage, glove-friendly knobs, no connectivity. The Warrior Edge 500 adds WeldCloud data capture, the Pulse and SPEED WeldModes, and RFID operator management with locked quick-jobs. Choose the 500i for durability and simplicity, the Edge where weld data records or pulse MIG are required.
