Where it is used
Features
The high-performance THIN WeldMode reduces spatter levels and helps reduce distortion when welding thin plates. Distortion on thin material is expensive to correct and often cannot be corrected at all, so controlling heat input at the arc is worth more than any downstream fix.
The easy-to-control ROOT WeldMode is optimised for root passes and has gap bridging ability. A root pass across an inconsistent gap is where most pipeline rejects originate, and a mode built for it is the practical difference between the DX and the CX.
Cooling is built in at 1.4 kW with a 4.7 l coolant volume, 2.0 l/min maximum flow and 4.5 bar maximum pressure. The CX takes the optional external Cool 2 at 1.0 kW instead, so the DX has both more cooling capacity and one fewer unit to position and connect.
The adaptive optimised Pulse MIG process compensates for operator variation with a user-friendly setup, so results stay consistent across a crew of mixed experience rather than tracking whoever happens to be holding the torch.
WeldMode SPEED provides a focused arc that lets the welder handle the weld pool more easily at higher travel speeds, increasing productivity without losing pool control.
WeldCloud connectivity is built into the power source, so welding data is captured for quality assurance and traceability rather than needing a separate logger bolted on.
Integrates with the Exeor DX torch models’ graphic display remote without additional connectors. One fewer adapter in the chain is one fewer thing to fail on site.
Rated IP23 with an operating temperature range of −20 °C to +55 °C, application class S and insulation class H — specified for UAE ambient conditions and for environments with increased electrical hazard.
