Features
ESAB rate the machine at a 40 mm (1-1/2″) recommended cut with a 55 mm (2-1/8″) maximum. The recommended figure is the one to plan production around — maximum severance is a cut you can make, not a cut you want to make repeatedly.
The torch disconnects quickly for maintenance or for conversion to a machine torch. For a rental fleet or a shop running shifts, a torch change that does not require stripping the machine is the difference between a short interruption and a lost afternoon.
Auto-Restrike re-establishes the cutting arc automatically when it is interrupted, so the arc crosses each gap in mesh or grating and restarts on the next strand without the operator re-triggering.
A True-Guard roll bar protects the unit in the rough handling of site, yard and demolition work, where plasma units are dropped, struck and loaded alongside steel.
TD Surelok holds the consumable stack in precise alignment, which ESAB state delivers better quality cuts and longer parts life. Consumable life is the dominant running cost on a plasma system, so alignment is an economic specification as much as a quality one.
Gouging tips are chosen by profile rather than guesswork: Tip A at 40 A maximum for shallow and narrow, Tip B at 50–100 A for deep and narrow, Tip C at 60–120 A for moderate and moderate, Tip D at 60–120 A for shallow and wide, and Tip E at 120 A for moderate and wide.
Packages include the power source, SL100 1Torch, spare parts kit, air filter/regulator, work cable and clamp, and power cable — so the system cuts on arrival without a separate consumables order.

The 100’s published figures are currently under verification with ESAB because its factsheet contradicts itself, so we are not quoting a comparison until that is settled — ask us and we will give you the confirmed position.

The torch requires 5.2 bar air pressure at 212 l/min consumption. Clean, dry air is the single biggest factor in plasma consumable life, so an air filter is not an optional extra in a humid coastal climate.
Yes, with five gouging tip profiles. Tip A (40 A max) gives a shallow narrow groove, Tip B (50–100 A) deep and narrow, Tip C (60–120 A) moderate and moderate, Tip D (60–120 A) shallow and wide, and Tip E (120 A) moderate and wide. A gouging shield cap (9-8241) is also required.
